Week 13

Our CC group started back up this week after our holiday break. The Lord blessed everyone with a safe vacation and time to relax our brains for a bit. Foundations began a new block, switching from tin whistle instruction to studying the great artists and leaving our nature walking behind in order to conduct experiments centering on God’s amazing, natural creation.

We opened up this week with some science fun in our family presentation. Dry ice experiments always provide lots to oooooh and ahhhhh over.

The students studied Giotto’s art and technique during their art time and then got to practice a bit for themselves. They mixed their own paints by grinding chalk and mixing it with egg yolk. This made for some very bright colors and beautiful pictures.

We continue to move ahead with our timeline and grammar memorization. Some of the students returned from the holidays ready to go for Memory Master. Please pray for them as they work hard to accomplish this difficult task
